The 2010 exhibition has begun!

Very exciting to attend the opening of Design Now! 2010.
Many happy faces and some amazing new works from the 18 finalists.The three prize winners, shown here with Steven Pozel (Director: Object), were Amy Carr Bottomley, Emi Fukuda and Zaki Arif.

Today is the beginning of the rest of my blogging life! December 1st 2009.

The first day of Summer, a time for excursions, celebrations and some thoughtful consuming.
A nice place to start could be the 'No Vacancy' Christmas art/ design market. This 3 day showcase will include the covetable jewellery of Design Now 2009 finalist Karla Way.
The piece shown below is from the Objects to be suspended series which was exhibited this year at Object: Australian Centre for Craft and Design, and Melbourne Museum.
